Daniel Beard Dear Sirs, My father, Willis Cummings, was an Eagle Scout in Troop 1, and was part of the entourage of scouts at Dan Beard's funeral on July (16?) 1941. My dad purportedly read the eulogy at the service. He died when I was young, and I am now searching for a transcript of the eulogy. I am an Eagle Scout (Troop 248, Waltham, MA), and my son just made Eagle our Troop 171, Boulder, CO. Any help you can offer in this search, or of locating any records of my father's involvement in your storied troop would be greatly appreciated. Kenneth Warhola Although my son Ken achieved the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 255 when Jack Baer was its Scoutmaster many years ago, he feels a strong affinity for Troop 1 in that he considers theTroop as part of his extended scouting family. Older Gannett Scouts Hi, I am the daughter of Bruce Gannett (his dad was Warren Bruce Gannett). Grandpa was in Troop 1, so I am not sure if this is the righ site. My son has followed in their steps to become and Eagle and I was wondering if anyone may have any photos of them for the ceremony. We have none of them in scouting. Troop 1 members in early 60's I was a member of Troop 1 in the early 60's along with my brother, Douglas. My years in Troop 1 were foundational. In the Cabin are carved the names of my uncles, Edward and Joseph Laurita, both Eagle Scouts. Both my brother and I earned our Eagle rank as served on staffs at several other Scout Camps.
