Early 1960's member Hi I was a member from 1959 and became an Eagle Scout and, like my brother Samson, rose through the ranks through JASM. It was a very important part of my growing up and I'm delighted to see that it's still going on. (I can still do all of the skills!-Sam is a good teacher). One of the skills I started while a CIT at Ten Mile River Camp was playing guitar and leading campfires. I've been a professional musician ever since. I live in Yonkers NY. Elliot Z. Troop 1 Cheshire, CT Congrats on the 98th year. We just celebrated our 3rd year. Just thought I would send you a quick e-mail because I am the scoutmaster of troop 1 in Cheshire, CT and my father-in-law was a member of your Troop in 1940(ish) so was his brother John King. Phill''s father was your troop photographer and an active member of your Dad''s Group. Phill now has 4 grandsons in Troop 1 Cheshire, CT. I thought it might be fun for the boys to visit you or possibly have the two troops meet at a camp out someday. Indirectly we are an off shoot of your Flushings troop. Yours in Scouiting Mark E. Dickinson
